When your own profile looks blank

The first is simply that the sections are not filled in. A new or neglected profile with no photo, a bare headline, and an empty About reads as blank to anyone who lands on it. The second is subtler: your public profile visibility may be turned off, so people who are not logged in, or who find you through search, see nothing.
To check the visibility setting, open Settings, then Visibility, then your public profile controls, and confirm your profile is set to be visible. How to fill a blank profile fast
Once visibility is on, the profile itself needs content. You do not have to do everything at once. Start with the three things people actually read first:
- A real photo. A clear headshot instantly makes a profile feel like a person rather than a placeholder.
- A specific headline. Not just your job title. Say what you do and for whom, so someone skimming knows why to keep reading.
- An About section. A few honest sentences about your work, in your own voice. If the blank page is the blocker, drafting a first version with an AI tool and then editing it to sound like you is a fair way to start, as long as you do the editing.
