Taplio Alternatives: 7 Tools, Sorted by the Job You Need Done
An honest roundup of Taplio alternatives for LinkedIn: seven tools sorted by use case, with verified pricing, plus the cases where Taplio itself still wins.
By Deepak Yadav, Founder, Ampliflow
The short version
- The best Taplio alternatives depend on which part of Taplio you use: commenting, AI writing, scheduling, or lead outreach.
- For commenting only, Commenti and PowerIn are the focused options; for writing plus scheduling at a lower price, look at Supergrow or MagicPost.
- Taplio is still the right buy if you want writing, scheduling, analytics, and outreach under one login: plans start at $39 per month, with AI writing from the $69 Growth tier.
- Commenter.ai is no longer a comment generator; its live product is a sales conversation prioritiser priced from $99 per month.
- Every tool here that automates actions on your behalf conflicts with LinkedIn's User Agreement, so compare how each one reduces risk, not whether it removes it.
If you want the writing and scheduling half for less: Supergrow and MagicPost
Supergrow is the closest thing to a like-for-like Taplio alternative on content. It builds posts from AI interview sessions and repurposed material, then handles scheduling, a carousel maker, auto first-comment, and profile analytics. Starter is $19 per month, Pro is $39, and Teams is $139 covering four accounts, with a 7-day trial and a discount for paying annually. Teams adds an approval workflow and an org dashboard, which is the part worth paying for if you run employee advocacy rather than a personal account.
MagicPost is narrower and cheaper at the entry point: billed yearly, $21 per month for Analytics (scheduling plus LinkedIn metrics) and $39 for Creator, which adds the post generator, carousels, and idea tools. Month to month those tiers are $35 and $69, and agencies get custom pricing. Its pricing page also claims MagicPost is a LinkedIn-verified application using the official developer program and approved APIs. That is their characterization, not ours; we cannot confirm LinkedIn's approval status from the outside. If sanctioned API access matters to you, ask them to evidence it.
If you want suggestions, not automation: Engage AI
Engage AI is a browser extension that drafts comment suggestions while you scroll LinkedIn, plus prospect monitoring so you get alerted when target accounts post. The extension's pricing page lists a free tier, Starter at $12.90 per month, Pro at $30, and Elite at $80. Tiers differ mainly on model access, saved custom tones, and prospects monitored, which climbs from 10 on the free plan to 1,000 on Elite.
This is a different product from what we or PowerIn sell, and the difference is who presses publish. Engage AI accelerates a human at the keyboard; automation runs while you sleep. Keeping a person judging every comment is the most conservative way to use AI on LinkedIn, and it does not scale past the hours you have. We compare the approaches in Commenti vs Engage AI.
If you came looking for Commenter.ai, stop
Worth flagging because it will save you a wasted trial. Commenter.ai is widely listed in old roundups as an AI comment generator. Its live product today is a sales conversation prioritiser: it connects LinkedIn and Gmail and ranks the threads you are letting go cold, with optional AI drafting as a secondary feature and nothing sent without your approval. Plans are Signals at $99 per month, Workflow at $149, and Teams at $350, with a 7-day trial and no card.
That is a good tool for a full-cycle seller drowning in threads. It is not a Taplio alternative and not a commenting tool. Any listicle still calling it one has not opened the site.
If LinkedIn is one channel among many: Buffer and Hypefury
Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need a LinkedIn specialist. Buffer has a free plan covering up to three channels, and its cheapest paid tier is $5 per channel per month billed yearly, with a 14-day trial. Read the per-channel part carefully: five channels is five times that price, which is what makes Buffer look cheaper on the pricing page than on the invoice. LinkedIn profiles and pages are both supported. Hypefury starts at $6 per month for one channel with a 7-day trial, and LinkedIn is among the networks it publishes to. Its platform lineup keeps shifting and its own pages disagree about which networks are live, so confirm the ones you need before paying.
Neither will grow a LinkedIn presence on its own. Both will stop you paying suite prices for a queue.
The comparison table
| Tool | Best if you want | Core job | Verified entry price | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taplio (baseline) | Everything in one login | Full LinkedIn suite plus outreach | $39/mo ($32 annual) | 7 days, full Pro |
| Commenti | Commenting as your main channel | Comment automation only | $19/mo billed yearly | 60 days, first 200 users |
| PowerIn | Volume across LinkedIn and X | Comment automation, two networks | $59/mo, 900 comments | 5 days, no card |
| Supergrow | Taplio's content half, cheaper | AI writing, scheduling, carousels | $19/mo | 7 days |
| MagicPost | Scheduling plus LinkedIn analytics | Analytics, AI writing at Creator | $21/mo annual ($35 monthly) | Free trial, no card |
| Engage AI | A human in the loop on every comment | Comment suggestions in-browser | Free tier, $12.90/mo paid | Free plan |
| Buffer | LinkedIn among many channels | Cross-platform scheduling | $5/mo per channel, yearly | 14 days |
| Hypefury | LinkedIn among many channels | Cross-platform scheduling | $6/mo, one channel | 7 days |
The part these roundups usually leave out
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits third-party automation. That covers Taplio's automated features, PowerIn, Commenti, and most of this list. We say so across this blog and we are saying it here. Ignore any vendor, ourselves included, who tells you their tool carries no risk.
Risk scales with four things: volume, speed, how generic your output reads, and how new or already-flagged your account is. Tools reduce it through daily caps, randomized pacing, filters that skip posts you should not touch, and keeping a human approving output. Reduce is the only verb available. For the full picture before spending anything, read is LinkedIn automation safe; if you are weighing automation against doing it by hand, AI comments on LinkedIn, good or bad covers where the output falls down.
How to choose in about two minutes
Open your Taplio dashboard and count the sections you touched last month. One section means buy the focused tool for that section. Three or more means keep Taplio; nothing here beats it on breadth at that price.
If commenting was the one section, our roundup of comment automation tools goes deeper, and we have head-to-heads on Commenti vs Taplio and Commenti vs PowerIn.
And to be plain about our own edges: Commenti has no scheduler, no post writer, no analytics dashboard, no CRM, and no X support. If you need any of those, something else on this page is the better purchase, and we would rather you found that out here.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Taplio alternative?
There is no single best one, because Taplio bundles four jobs. If commenting drives your growth, Commenti or PowerIn replace that layer with more depth. If you mainly write and schedule posts, Supergrow and MagicPost cover that for less. If you want the whole bundle, no alternative is genuinely cheaper without dropping features.
Is there a free Taplio alternative?
Engage AI offers a free tier of its browser extension that suggests comments while you browse LinkedIn, and Buffer has a free plan covering up to three channels. Both are narrower than Taplio. Free tiers here trade volume and automation for manual effort, which is a reasonable trade if you only post a few times a week.
Which Taplio alternative is cheapest?
Among the tools verified for this page, Buffer's cheapest paid tier is $5 per channel per month billed yearly and Hypefury starts at $6 per month for a single channel, but both are schedulers rather than LinkedIn growth suites. Within LinkedIn-specific tools, Engage AI has a free tier and Commenti's $19 per month entry plan is the lowest paid starting point.
Do any of these tools also send connection requests and DMs?
Taplio's Pro tier includes lead outreach. Most of the focused tools on this page do not. Commenti automates comments only, with no connection requests and no DMs, and outreach tools such as Dripify, Expandi, and Waalaxy are a separate category with a different risk profile. Do not treat them as interchangeable.
Are Taplio alternatives safe to use on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits third-party automation, which covers Taplio and most tools listed here. Risk scales with volume, speed, and how generic your output looks. Good design reduces exposure through daily caps, human-like pacing, skip filters, and human approval before anything posts. No tool can remove the risk entirely.

The best Taplio alternatives depend on which part of Taplio you actually use. If you only want commenting, look at Commenti or PowerIn. If you want AI writing and scheduling for less, look at Supergrow or MagicPost. If you want a cheap cross-platform scheduler, Buffer or Hypefury. If you want all of it under one login, keep Taplio.
Declaring the bias first: we build Commenti, one of the seven alternatives below. Read everything here with that in mind. We have tried to write the page we wish existed when we were shopping, which means naming what each competitor does better than us and telling you plainly when Taplio is the correct purchase.
Commenter.ai gets a section too, only because roundups still list it and it no longer belongs there.
Every price below was checked on the vendor's live site in July 2026, with URLs at the bottom. Pricing in this category changes constantly, so treat these as a starting point, not a quote.
When Taplio itself is the right answer
Start here, because most roundups skip it. Taplio's own site organizes the product around finding viral posts worth remixing, writing, scheduling, analyzing what worked, and a Connect feature it describes as auto-connecting and sending DMs to warm leads. If your plan is "publish consistently, study what performs, follow up with whoever engages," that bundle is the shape of the job, and buying four tools to replicate it is worse.
Taplio's own pricing breakdown lists Starter at $39 per month, Growth at $69, and Pro at $199, dropping to $32, $49, and $149 on annual billing. Notably, Starter deliberately excludes AI writing; it is the consistency plan. AI drafting arrives at Growth, and Pro adds unlimited AI plus automated lead outreach. The trial is 7 days with full Pro access, and Taplio's FAQ says you can request a refund within 30 days of payment.
That trial is the fastest way to answer the only question that matters: do you use more than one section of the dashboard? Plenty of people do, and they should stop reading here.
If commenting is the whole job: Commenti and PowerIn
The most common reason people search for alternatives is that they bought a suite and only ever used the engagement tab. They were not overpaying for features, they were paying for optionality they never exercised. Commenting is a legitimate primary channel, not a warm-up act, and it borrows distribution from audiences bigger than yours, which is the premise behind growing on LinkedIn without posting.
PowerIn automates comments on LinkedIn and X, targeting chosen accounts and keywords, with a tone setting, words to avoid, and a filter that skips political, discriminatory, and tragic posts before commenting. Plans run $59 per month for 900 comments, $99 for 3,000, and $149 for 6,000, every tier advertises unlimited connected accounts, and the 5-day trial takes no card. If you work both LinkedIn and X, or run several accounts, PowerIn covers ground we do not: we are LinkedIn only, one account, and its higher tiers sell far more volume than we do.
Commenti does one thing: tone-matched AI comments on posts from creators and keywords you choose, with skip filters, human-like pacing, and an approve-before-post mode. Plans are $19, $29, and $49 per month billed yearly for 20, 40, and 60 comments a day. The first 200 users get a 60-day free trial. The tiers are built around 20-60 new followers a day; results vary by niche, profile age, and how good your comments actually are.
The rationale we get asked about most: we sell no unlimited plan, and the top tier stops at 60 comments a day on purpose. Volume is the largest driver of enforcement risk, so the ceiling is the product, not a number to raise. PowerIn caps too, just far higher, and reasonable people disagree about where the line sits. Ours is a real limitation if you want 200 comments a day, and we would rather lose that sale than write the refund email.
One line worth drawing hard: Commenti sends no connection requests and no DMs, and PowerIn sells comment automation rather than outreach. Dedicated outreach tools like Dripify, Expandi, HeyReach, and Waalaxy are a different category with a different risk profile, and Taplio's Connect crosses into it by its own description. Do not treat the categories as substitutes.
